I enjoy the community that Rice has, not only academically, but also in extracurricular activities and sports. Something nobody knows? I was a lacrosse goalie at Hope Col- lege. I golf and play hockey. Favorite sports team? Pittsburgh Steelers. What do you like most about Rice? How quiet it is. Something nobody knows? I have several fake teeth from taking a slap shot in the face when I was 20. Mr. Torriglia Theology College? I started at Mi- ami University as a pre- law student and fi nished at University of Detroit Mercy with a degree in Social Stud- ies/Secondary Education. How long have you been teaching? This is my fi rst full year teaching. What were you doing before Rice? I was working as part of the Edmund Rice Volunteer Corps (ERVC) in the Campus Ministry offi ce last year. What hobbies do you have? The family feel in the hallways as a student, ERVC, and now a teacher is something I love about being here. Something nobody knows? Babysit, landscape, sew, and knit. Favorite sports team? Michigan football and basketball. What do you like about Rice? I like how respectful the students are. Something nobody knows?
