Class of 2022 what it means to be a stu-
dent at Brother Rice. Learn all you can
this year because you guys are going
to be upperclassmen before you know
it. Don’t forget to enjoy every moment,
and continue to develop a dependable
work ethic.
To the Freshmen, we couldn’t be more
excited to welcome you all to Brother
Rice. Understand your strengths and
weaknesses early on to help alleviate
stress in school, and work to improve
your weaknesses. Do your best to reach
out and meet everyone in your class,
because it will make your high school
experience much more enjoyable. Listen
to the upperclassmen and enjoy every
moment because it’ll be gone before you
know it.
Based off the fi rst few weeks, it seems
like it’s going to be a great year with
a lot of excitement and new changes.
Enjoy the year, learn a lot, and be there
for your brothers.
Live, Jesus, in our hearts, forever.

with a simple answer: No. I’ve dug
myself out of an embarrassingly low
GPA once, and I can do it again.
There is an upside to starting school
early: I am a Senior. I get out of school
in May, anyway, so the school year
won’t drag on too long for me. But I
feel sorry for you underclassmen. You
started school way too early and get
out the same day as any other year.
If I was an underclassman, this early
start would be terrible, really terrible.
The early start of school means that
midterms will be before Christmas.
For me, being a Senior, that means my
school year ends before Christmas,
because, in the second semester, I will
probably be as useless as the TV's in
the ARC.
Even though I have the perks of
being a Senior, midterms being this
early is a win for all. We will get to
enjoy Santa and our family without
our moms bombarding us to study for
exams that we will all fail, anyway.
