Twitter account(@ BroRiceWarriors) tweeted an image on Dec. 29 of what the potential lacrosse / soccer and football fields would look like with the help of donors and fundraising opportunities. The debate sparked up when, on Ambrose Field, it only appeared to render a soccer field, not a lacrosse field, for which it was originally named( after former Coach Ambrose).
There was also some tension about the absence of stands in the rendering, which many people have talked about over the past few years. Reidy addressed this issue with poise and confidence, stating that the fields are the“ front porch” of Brother Rice. He elaborated that many potential Warriors; first Rice experience comes at a football, lacrosse, or soccer game, and how important it is to make that moment one to remember and really attract them to the school and community. He also mentioned that the fields

It’ s something I would only encounter in my worst nightmares. I won’ t even begin to try and understand the science behind his“ arrows of love.” How can someone shoot an arrow at two people and have them magically fall in love? There is no logic, and it should absolutely not be allowed to were only part of the upcoming renovations. First, the final three old science labs in B-Wing are already paid for and will be converted into two new labs this summer, completing the renovation of B-Wing.
Then, Reidy stated, the first phase renovation of the fields and track will

All the people out there who think Valentine’ s Day has romantic significance need to take a hard look at the so-called“ symbol” of your precious holiday. Someone needs to take that“ baby,” lock him up far away and throw the key into the Pacific Ocean. That way, Americans can sleep well at night, knowing that“ thing” isn’ t roaming the earth.
How can someone shoot an arrow at two people and have them magically fall in love? There is no logic to this creation, and it should absolutely not be allowed to poison the minds of America’ s youth. All the people out there who think Valentine’ s Day has romantic signifiwhen Reidy was talking about it. I’ m not about to dance around the fact that I got extremely fired up when he referred to the fields as the“ front porch” of Brother Rice, because it is so true.
Although I was always set on becoming a Warrior, I can speak on behalf of my friends and family who are a part the community when they say that their first true“ Rice experience” came at a sporting event.
In fifth grade, 2011, I remember coming to the Rice vs. De La Salle football game at Fracassa Field, when they brought in extra bleachers for the fans and, more importantly, the Goon Squad. The atmosphere was pure electricity.
I also remember the fact that, of the many friends I was with that day, 95 percent of us ended up at Brother Rice for high school.
Brotherhood is something that Rice does a tremendous job of, and the chemistry among our student body is unmatched. This is something parents should consider when it comes to where to send their sons to high school.
