TRAINING UPDATE By Drew Gibson, Senior Instructor Hopefully everybody has had the chance to have a look at the CYC pro- gramme for 2020. As you may have seen, we have a wide variety of training on offer for all members. We have added different youth training sessions, with Fun on the Water ses- sions for those just wanting to get on the water and practise, and Fun Start to Race and Race Development sessions for those interested in racing and want- ing to improve their skills. For adults, there are adult mini courses and adult coaching sessions for those wanting to learn and practise, with race coaching sessions for those wanting to improve racing skills. As a new addition, there are race Support sessions, where an instructor will be on the race course to encourage more people to join in the Club racing. These are mainly scheduled to coincide with the new novices’ series that has been programmed next year. Powerboat Level 2 courses can now be followed with powerboat upskilling workshops, designed to allow you to prac- tise your skills and improve confidence with an instructor on-hand. All courses and training can be booked through the office, so why not put your name down now to secure your space?
