Club General Manager Manu Jenkin On behalf of all the staff at CYC, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and hope it will include many hours spent on or by the water, in or around our beautiful Chichester Harbour. You should all have received the 2019 Club Programme that was sent to you last month and if you have had the chance to leaf through it, you will have seen that 2019 promises to be another full year of activities. On Board is the best way to keep informed on what is happening in your Club so if you are not on our mailing list, you can subscribe to it via the website: the link can be found under the information tab. Every year, we strive to improve the programme layout, making it easier to use and On the water, there will be dinghy courses and more informative. There will also be informal training ranging from technical mini lectures, VHF refresher, land based passage planning, tips on safe and comfortable anchoring to name but a few. These sessions are open to all sections. On the social side, we have lots to look forward to including some initiatives such as our Themed Supper Nights on the 3rd Wednesday of the month during our winter hours. Look out for pie and pint, steak, Chinese, Mexican, Italian or fish nights and let us know if you are planning to come so the kitchen can cater accordingly. There will be more information to be found in our On Board newsletters. 4 Club Closure The club will be closed for staff training on January 14th and February 5th.
