Club General Manager Manu Jenkin
On behalf of all the staff at CYC, I would like to
wish everyone a very Happy New Year and
hope it will include many hours spent on or by
the water, in or around our beautiful Chichester
Harbour.
You should all have received the 2019 Club
Programme that was sent to you last month
and if you have had the chance to leaf through
it, you will have seen that 2019 promises to be
another full year of activities.
On Board is the best
way to keep
informed on what is
happening in your

not on our mailing

For youth, we offer RYA 1 to 3 courses as well
as Optimist and youth coaching for improvers
and advanced sailors.
We will continue to run Power boat courses,
leading to ICC qualifications, and will hold a
DSC radio course on Feb 9th and RYA first aid
course on March 16th. There will also be
informal training ranging from technical mini
lectures, VHF refresher, land based passage
planning, tips on safe and comfortable
anchoring to name but a few. These sessions
are open to all sections.
On the social side, we have lots to look forward
to including some initiatives such as our
Themed Supper Nights on the 3rd Wednesday
of the month during our winter hours. Look out
for pie and pint, steak, Chinese, Mexican,
Italian or fish nights and let us know if you are
planning to come so the kitchen can cater
accordingly. There will be more information to
be found in our On Board newsletters.
