Exciting things happen here.

When I was about seven, my father left my house and I never saw him again. Our mother always told us that our father was a great man and he had to leave us because he had a very busy job abroad. Sometimes, I feel that I should know more about him.

I am a tall man of 22 years old and I have just moved into Chicago because I think it is a great place to find new opportunities as a recent graduated architect since it is the third most populous city in the United States, after New York City and Los Angeles. Even as for a great architect it is still difficult to get a job. I had a culture shock since I was coming from a quiet, little town in the South of the States and Chicago is a crowded, crazy, busy city. I was not easy to get used to this new life. Unfortunately for me, Chicago City, known worldwide as the “Windy city”, was suffering a terrible economic situation. That´s why I decided to work as a tourism guide so that I could make some money and learn about interesting architects meanwhile. I thought I was going to be very busy because there is a lot of tourism in Chicago; people come from many places all around the world. There are a lot of attractions since you can find art galleries, museums, cool restaurants, and much more.

One day, I was about to start my work guiding a very religious couple from Canada, I was going to take them to “The Our Lady Sorrows Basilica” in the East Garfield Park and also to “St. Wenceslaus Roman Catholic Church” and to get them around the city. After lunch, we went to the “John Hancock Tower” and the “Tribune Tower” which was built by and amazing skilled architect. I was so impressed with the work of this architect that after the guide ended, I decided to take a taxi to his office with the objective to learn more about his techniques.
