We are sensitive to human activity and researchers demonstrate that we can habituate to be predictable and benign when there is human activity around us. Chapter 4 Two hundred years ago, my species was widespread throughout the United States. In 1900, my Bighorn Sheep population decreased because of humans hunting and having competitions to see who can get the bigger ram. They mostly hunted other Bighorn Sheep, for their horns and to have us be added to their trophy showcase, this is why we are afraid of humans. We also had to deal with diseases spreading rampant among our population, which decreased our population to only a few thousand. President Franklin D. Roosevelt created a program for my species, which included reintroducing my species to the Rocky Mountain regions of North America and we were very happy. The program also introduced the National Parks of the United States, such as Rocky Mountain National Park, or my personal favorite Yellowstone National Park of Wyoming where I live.
