CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
The CHEST Foundation has five workgroups you can join.
Over the next few months, your talents can contribute to:
Patient-Focused Public Education
n Development and coordination of disease-state education
in over 40 topic areas in English and in Spanish.
n Development of public service announcement (PSAs)
videos for public events.
n Review of patient education materials, such as comic

books and brochures.
n Coordination of spokespersons for disease-specific
media events.
Tobacco Education and Cessation
n Development and coordination of tobacco-related
physician education materials.
n Updating and delivery of Lung Lessons™, our youth
tobacco prevention education for classroom and
museum programs.
n Delivery of public tobacco education and cessation
materials.
Clinical Research Grants
n Development of criteria and selection of clinical research
grants to be given out each year.
n Scoring and awarding of clinical research grants.
Community Service Grants
n Development of criteria and selection of community
service grants to be given out each year.
n Scoring and awarding of community service grants.
Communications and Social Media
n Content development and coordination of social media
and print communications.
n Oversee the “I’m in the Family” campaign.
n Coordination of spokespersons for foundation media
events.
The CHEST Foundation workgroups develop the resources
of the foundation and deliver an immediate impact to our
members, patients, and the public. In addition to volunteers,
each workgroup is composed of Board of Trustee members
and CHEST Past Presidents, donors, and volunteer CHEST
members. It’s a great way to connect, contribute, and learn.
