CHEST FOUNDATION AT THE DAYTONA 500 The CHEST Foundation actively fulfills our pillar of public-focused patient education by delivering physician-approved materials in a variety of venues. In February, we partnered with a public relations firm to create a lung cancer public service announcement (PSA). This PSA was featured at the Daytona 500 and was seen over 1.2 million times over 3 days informing 600,000 attendees about lung cancer. CHEST FOUNDATION PATIENT-FOCUSED PUBLIC EDUCATION SARCOIDOSIS YOU ARE NOT ALONE Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease wherein the immune system goes into overdrive. 25% 35-50% of cases affect the eyes. of cases have respiratory symptoms, such as shortness of breath, dry cough, and chest pain. The campaign exploded on social media and within the first 2 weeks, content was shared 3,500 times on Facebook and was seen by more than 2,300 people on Twitter. It was released to a potential audience of over 20,000,000 via print, radio, and broadcast outlets and included a 12-interview radio media tour and audio news release to 485 radio stations.
