The Jacksonville Kiwanis Club is hosting its annual Kiwanis Shootout fundraiser at 9 a. m. Saturday, April 19. Funds from the event provide financial aid for the many various causes supported by Kiwanis. Three raffle items will be awarded as part of the fundraiser. An Easter egg hunt is being held at Buckner Park at 2 p. m. Friday, April 18. The event, hosted by two Jacksonville National Honor Society students, is intended for children ages two through 10. The park is located on Newbern Street in Jacksonville.
Arte de Mayo, an art show and sale, will be presented from 5 to 8 p. m. Saturday, May 3, at Davenport Home + Design, located in downtown Jacksonville. The event, hosted by the Jacksonville Community Arts Alliance, will include margaritas and other festivities.
Admission is $ 25 per person.

The 63rd annual Tops in Texas Rodeo takes place at the Jacksonville Rodeo Arena, 604 Woodlawn Avenue. The event features top contenders and world champion specialty acts. For information about the 2025 event, check the website, topsintexasrodeo. com, and follow the organization on Facebook.

The Rusk Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Fair on the Square from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m Saturday, May 24. The event features vendor booths, live entertainment and youth activities. Follow the Fair on the Square 2025 Facebook event page for details.

The 41st Annual Tomato Fest is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, in downtown Jacksonville. The event covers five blocks along Commerce Street with hundreds of vendors and plenty of activities. Attendees can enjoy a car show, motorcycle show and a number of tomato-related contests. The event culminates in the annual Chili’ s Street Dance.
