All Star Bar-B-Q and its‘ bodacious recipes’

All Star Bar-B-Q, located near the intersection of Hwy. 69 and Hwy. 84 in Rusk, is what some consider a hidden Cherokee County gem. Russell Turner, 68, opened a Bodacious Bar-B-Q at this location in 1993. Thirty years later the business is still going strong, albeit with a new name and a stellar Astros collection.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Turner worked construction for 13 years for a large company and had moved around with it when he met his future wife Christy in 1982 in Longview.
