The most wonderful time of the year
It’ s the most wonderful time of the year in Cherokee County! From the onset of fall until the New Year Ball drops, there is so much fun to be had here in East Texas!
Our 2025 Holiday edition takes a ride on the Polar Express, introduces you to H. O. P. E – Jacksonville, takes a tour of the murals around the county, and introduces you to the art of Lacey Price and much more!
Christmas is a very special time in our community, with fun holiday events for everyone to enjoy, tasty treats and delicious beverages- make you take a peek at our calendar so you don’ t miss out on all the holiday merriment!
Beyond the decorations, events and parties, I love shopping and finding unique gifts for my friends and family and can’ t wait to see what downtown Jacksonville has to offer this year! This year, I have challenged myself to buy as much locally as I can for my holiday shopping. I can’ t wait to get started!
PennyLynn Webb
PennyLynn Editor of Jacksonville Daily Progress and Cherokee County Living
Keep in mind, when you buy from a small town business, you’ re not helping a C. E. O. buy a third holiday home, you’ re helping local families buy gifts for their families. You’ re helping moms and dads put food on the table. You’ re helping families pay for dance lessons, sports team participation and so much more. I hope you’ ll all join me in shopping local this holiday season!
As always, a special thank-you to our readers and advertisers for making this magazine possible and supporting local journalism. Communities and businesses thrive when they support each other. We hope everyone will explore, shop and eat locally this season! Wishing you all the merriest Christmas and a blessed and happy New Year!
