Cherokee county courthouse
A collage of photos( pictured above) depicting the experience and culture of Black residents in Cherokee County were combined to create this mural found on the basement floor of the Cherokee County Courthouse. The mural is the result of efforts made by members of the Cherokee County Historical Commission, led by George W. Martin. Created by Judy Seamonds of WallWork by Judy in Jacksonville, it was revealed to the public during Black History Month 2021.
