Tom Parker Bowles
The son of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Tom Parker Bowles is an established food writer, food critic and chef. He accompanied his mother and sister to The Festival where Camilla was presenting the trphy for the Queen Mother Champion Chase (see p. 14).
Zara Phillips MBE
Daughter of Princess Anne and granddaughter of Her Majesty The Queen, Zara Phillips has represented Britain many times in Eventing. Amongst other activities she trains racehorses – including Monbeg Dude part-owned by her husband, former England rugby plater Mike Tindall.
John Francome MBE
This former seven-times National Hunt Champion Jockey and certainly knows his way around The Festival. Having retired from being a Channel 4 Racing presenter after 27 years, he is also a bestselling author of (fictional) racing thrillers and President of the Injured Jockeys Fund.
Clare Balding
Our favourite television presenter (and Non-Executive Director of Eclipse Magazine) was hard at work in the Parade Ring as usual – looking for her next interviewee amongst the trainers, owners and jockeys lining up for the next race.
