The Bid Process

The Bid Process

Accepting a Bid
Once a bid is accepted, all registration materials must be submitted by the deadlines listed on page 32. Registrations and hotel assignments are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Waiting to register in hopes of earning a different bid at a later qualifier could result in a team not securing its preferred hotel..
USASF Teams
• Before the event, the event producer will ask whether a team intends to accept a Worlds bid and, if awarded, which type( at-large, partial-paid, or full-paid).
• If a bid is awarded, it will automatically show as accepted on the Club’ s member account dashboard within 72 hours of the event’ s completion. No further action is required by the team to confirm acceptance.
• Once a bid is accepted, all registration materials must be submitted by the deadlines listed on page 32.
IASF Teams To accept, the club must return the Bid Winners Acceptance Form or give verbal approval to the sponsoring event producer within 72 hours of the final day of the bid-receiving event. Bids not accepted or declined by the deadline may be transferred to another team at the sponsoring event producer’ s discretion. At-large bids cannot be transferred more than 96 hours after the final day of the qualifying event.
Declining a Bid to Compete for Another
• A team may accept only one bid for The Cheerleading Worlds in a specific division.
• Upgrading a bid( e. g., from at-large to paid): No formal declination required.
• Pursuing a similar bid( e. g., at-large to at-large, paid to paid): The original bid must be declined by 11 p. m. EST on the Friday before the next bid event. See instructions below.
How to Decline a Bid
USASF Teams 1. Log in to your USASF club account at usasfmembers. net. 2. On the profile dashboard, click DECLINE next to the awarded Worlds bid. 3. If the bid is not declined by the deadline, the team becomes ineligible to compete for a new bid.
IASF Teams 1. Write to the sponsoring event producer and 2. Email the IASF Director, Marcy Kuzemchak, marcy @ iasfworlds. com.
Division & Team Size Requirements
USASF Teams
• Teams accepting any type of Worlds bid must compete in the same division in which the bid was earned.
• The maximum number of active athletes is locked to the number who competed on the floor at the qualifying event; rosters may not expand beyond that size.
