Connecting Our Residents
Studies show that social integration
and community involvement are key factors in being healthy and living longer.
The Library offers many opportunities
for you to be involved and meet people—whether you want to take an active
role or observe from the sidelines.
People may go to the
library looking mainly
for information, but they
find each other there.

A book club is a great way to stay
connected with your neighbors and
other community members. The Library
invites you to attend the bimonthly
community book discussions at Sedona
Winds, in the Village of Oak Creek. Selections for this year included The Help,
The Kite Runner, and Eat, Pray, Love. If
you are a mystery reader, check out
the Mystery Book Club, which meets
monthly at the main library.
In addition to our library-sponsored
clubs, over 50 nonprofit groups and
clubs utilize our meeting spaces each
year. Groups that meet at the Library
include the Sedona Car Club, the Sedona Gem and Mineral Club, and local
chapters of the Arizona Archaeological
Society, National Audubon Society, and
Embroiderers’ Guild of America. Take a
look at our online events calendar and
find a club that interests you.
