JACK PETCHEY’S ‘SPEAK OUT’ CHALLENGE! “Speak Out” is an annual interactive, expert-led workshop to develop public speaking skills. This then leads to one student representing Haggeston in a regional speaking competition
against other schools. On Friday 9th July Year 10 students attended a workshop
where an expert visiting speaker gave them the tools to become
engaging, effective speakers. All of the students delivered a speech on a topic
of their choice during the workshop. The most successful students were then selected to proceed to the next round.
We have three assembly finalists: Bristazia (social media), Fadilah (discrimination) and Seb (Trans rights).
