The Generosity of Richard Brock:
Prints, Drawings, and Paintings
April 29–August 7, 2016 | Leslie and Johanna Garfield Galleries
For twenty-five years, Richard Brock’s generosity has enriched the Chazen
Museum of Art’s permanent collection. His gifts to the museum of more
than 300 prints, drawings, and paintings—mostly twentieth-century
American— include works by Surrealists, Wisconsin artists, and a
significant group of prints by contemporary African American artists. Max
Ernst, Milton Avery, Aaron Bohrod, and Kara Elizabeth Walker are among
the many artists represented.
