C(H)ARÁCTER ELECTIONS IN CONGO One day there was a man in Congo. He started to look around the streets and there were lots of poor people and the man was very sad because they didn’t have the money to buy food. He shared in the street and gave 1 0 Euros to all the poor people. He started talking to others about the situation in Congo and they were very sad because the president, with a tank of war, started to destroy the apartments, houses and monuments. All that the man saw was horrible. He wanted to change the situation and to be the president of Congo. The elections would be in seven months. People were voting and he was looking at them. He slept for some time. The chamber maid told him that the elections were finished and he became happy and nervous. The woman told the country that the new president was Antonio Galán. Anyone knew he was going to be the president because Pablo Escobar was buying votes and he told all the people that he was thankful with all who voted for him, and that he would change the country. He was president for twenty years. FELIPE OSORIO Fourth grade. Felipe loves Detective stories and comics. He loves playing videogames and writing in his free time. 62
