The renewed buyer confidence seems to be not in anticipation of rising prices but the confidence that the prices agreed are firm and unlikely
to fall. It is fair to say that some property values have edged higher, that being for coastal property with good sea views and in areas
where the supply is limited this includes both Mallorca and the Cote d’Azur. However, where the supply is still evident, prices remain static.
However, I’m delighted to report that our partners in France, Italy and Spain indicate that country property is enjoying a long awaited increase
in demand. Prices have bottomed and there are some excellent properties at ‘post-slump’ prices to be had in Tuscany, southern France,
Mallorca and mainland Spain.
