Mission Statement
Providing the students attending this school with the all-round capabilities which will enable them , as adults , to participate actively and successfully in society . Students will be encouraged to achieve the very highest standards of achievement in everything they do .
This is given expression in the school motto : Aim to excel - Whāia te iti kahurangi
The school motto is derived from the whakataukī - Whāia te iti kahurangi , ki te tuohu koe , me he maunga teitei . This has been translated by the Māori language commission as ‘ Pursue excellence , and if you must bow down your head , let it be only to the highest mountain .

Our statement of intent ‘ Encompass ’ provides a roadmap of how the school vision is realised across the school community .
