Park Metrics Comparison
In addition to the SCORP averages, the planning team
referenced NRPA’s Park Metrics to identify how the City of
Lake Forest compares to other agencies in the Midwest
states with populations of 15,000 to 25,000. Park Metrics
provided information about the total population per
facility for swimming pools, playgrounds, dog parks,
tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, softball
fields, football fields, soccer fields, multipurpose fields, 9-
and 18-hole golf courses, driving ranges, skate parks, and
ice rinks for the 27 agencies within this population range.
The table below compares the total number of City-
owned and managed facilities to agencies with similar
populations.
