It is believed that Thomas Edison failed at least 1,000 times when trying to create the light bulb. When asked about this level of failure, Thomas Edison is reported to have said "I have not failed 1,000 times. I have successfully discovered 1,000 ways to NOT make a light bulb." Now that is failing successfully!!
The lesson we learn from failure may not be in how to how to become a more successful inventor or creator or resume writer. It might be a life lesson on gratitude or flexibility or generosity or tolerance or acceptance.
For anyone attempting to make great changes in their life the occasional failure or set back will be part of the process of change. That is just part of life! The key is to learn how to fail successfully, to learn from what went wrong in order to do better next time.
Failure is only failure when we use it as an excuse to give up.
