Stay ‘here’. Present. Examine this very moment with a kind of optimistic curiosity. (If optimistic is a stretch, then just curiosity will do).

What is it telling you?

Is this a clearing of the path-to-something-fabulous for you?

If you could, just for a moment, shift your wide-eyed stare from the terrifying prospect that’s appeared in front of you, maybe you could see what’s going on behind the curtain?

Who knows what yearned-for wisdom or rainbow-balloon-basket might be waiting for you, if you look past the obvious.

Trust

When you put a new address into a GPS, you have no idea how you’ll be guided, or what promptings you’ll be given.

be guided, or what promptings you’ll be given. You could end up going through scenic byways, or a dicey part of town, (or in my case, bumping down a pot-holed, unpaved shortcut in a very expensive rental car), but you follow the directions because you trust that you’ll be navigated correctly.

To paraphrase Einstein, the most important decision we ever make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile world.

So here’s a quick how-to on setting your inner GPS:

Decide on where you’d rather be. Get really clear. Make a vision board, meditate, journal it … whatever it takes to get that ‘address’ programmed properly.

Trust that the Universe/God knows the quickest, surest, best route.

Follow your promptings, even if they seem to be going the wrong way.

Understand that CHANGE is the vehicle that will carry you to where you want to be. Resisting it is like driving with your foot on the brake pedal.

Remind yourself often of where you’re going, how sublime it’s going to be when you get there, and don’t let the current scenery distract you.

My inner GPS is set to, “Everything always works out for me.”

How about yours?
