Jaguars DL Malik Jackson celebrates Salute to Service week at the
Stars and Strikes Bowling event at NAS Mayport.
JAGUARS PAY TRIBUTE TO LOCAL MILITARY
First Coast military, both active duty and
retired, are an important part of the fabric
of Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Jaguars are
committed to year-round support of these
local heroes, but in particular call attention
to their sacrifi ces during the NFL’s annual
Salute to Service campaign in the week
leading up to today’s game versus the L.A.
Chargers. Jaguars players, cheerleaders and
alumni took the chance to say thank you with
events and activities around town this week.
On Monday, the Jaguars Foundation and
players, including DL Malik Jackson, hosted
the “Stars and Strikes” bowling event on site
at Naval Station Mayport for 200 active duty
Navy and Coast Guard members and their
families.
“We are honored to show appreciation for the
servicemen and women, and we are blessed
that they’re right here in our backyard,” said

seeing them makes you want to help and be
