Check out the results of recent tournaments

When I was growing up , I played a lot of team sports . I experienced the excitement of contributing to the team ’ s successes
STRATON and learned the value of my teammate ’ s participation as well .
There is so much to be gained by joining up with others in a common pursuit . When I began playing golf , I thought it was an individual sport ,
which it is , but the CWGA has shown me the various ways in which golf can also be a team effort . We have had many examples of that recently .
The Member Guest Tournament July 28 was a huge success and there were quite a few winning teams . Here are the results :
� First Place Low Gross Team - Joann Linville , Mary Fieweger , Kathy Smith and Ronna Chandler
� Second Place Low Gross Team - Carlyne Lynch , Cheri Turk , Debra Ulrich and Nancy Veteto
� First Place Low Net Team - Pamela Gorder , Janie Olson , Dana Richmond and Mary Ann Berg
� Second Place Low Net Team - Alex Carney , Vicky Klingerman , Leslie Leeper and Jessica Berry
� Third Place Low Net Team - Dorothy Rodegerdts , Ellen McPherson , Becky Smith and Karen Lazendorf

Another source of great teamwork among our members is the volunteer support for the Men ’ s Invitational . Your efforts are greatly appreciated !
I neglected to announce the winner last month of the Handicap Tournament July 15 and 16 . Congratulations to Brenda Haskins . Well done !
Last month , I mentioned a scenario involving Betsy Knudsen and the tree stump in the fairway . Thanks to Joann Linville , we now have an official ruling . Our Charbonneau Golf Club general manager has determined all repaired and reseeded drainage areas as “ no play zones ,” and players
