New Member / Member event held Aug . 5 and 6

This is a new event this year that was designed as a substitute for the traditional August Member-Guest Invitational . The board decided early in the year that there was too

much COVID-19 and business sponsor risk to hold the Invitational in 2021 , but our intention is to resume the Invitational next year . Many elements of the Invitational were incorporated into the Member / Member event including assistance from CW- GA with registration , scoring and KP monitoring on the course .

Rules of the Month

1 . Out of bounds are marked with white stakes on the course . A ball is considered out of bounds when the entire ball lies behind the back side of the white stakes . When a ball is determined to be out of bounds , the next shot must be made from the place the original ball was hit . The new 2019 stroke-and-distance local rule that allows players the option of dropping in the fairway with a twostroke penalty if they so choose , has not been adopted for Men ’ s Club play .

2 . When there is a dispute over rules or rule interpretations in Men ’ s Club play , a second ball may be played . This allows the players to get a ruling from the Pro Shop upon completion of the round .
