Golf Club food and beverage reimagined
The Golf Club is working with the food and beverage group of OB Sports to finalize a proposal to renew ,
BROUILLETTE refresh and reshape the snack
bar now known as The Turn . Pursuant to current thinking , it will be reborn as the Market Café at Charbonneau , focused not just on serving golfers , but also in serving the needs of the community for fast causal . There will be take out and grab-and-go food and beverages , including upscaled coffee and morning
offerings .
Current thinking suggests a boost in the scope , quality and variety of the current menu .
In addition to upgrading the usual menu of burgers , dogs and sandwiches , additions of a flat top , a gas grill and fryers will allow expanded fast casual offerings . A pizza oven is being considered and would facilitate on-premises dining , take out and perhaps even home delivery ( via converted golf carts ) of top quality fresh , hot pizza into the evening hours .
Additional prep tools as well as cooking and holding systems will make this vision possible . Reshaping the service area will create more flexibility for multi-service formats as well as catering . A touch of redecorating will better facilitate the chance to gather comfortably .
Construction , in the current proposed timeline , would likely begin this winter with reopening in time for spring .

Next spring , you may hear someone say , “ Shall we meet at the Market Café ?” Or , “ Grab a coffee and pastry at the Market Café and meet in the Activity Center ?” Or , “ Hey , wanna split a pizza and pitcher after the meeting ( or golf , or tennis , or pickleball )?”

In anticipation of a bigger and busier Solo Sisters as we head into 2022 , we invited Shirley Wilkinson to join the planning committee . With Shirley on board , we hope to come up with some new and innovative programs in the future , and we look forward to the return of happy hours at local restaurants .
