CAIRNS APPEAR MYSTERIOUSLY IN PRIVATE ROCK BED
Residents add more rocks to prevent soil washing into the street during rainfall

In early August , property owners placed washed river rocks in an area where nothing grows to prevent soil erosion . Folks passing have a different vision — they build cairns !

“ We have never seen anyone making a cairn but they continue to appear ... they are growing like mushrooms !” the McAllisters said .
“ The array changes almost daily ,” said a lady who stopped by . “ It ’ s becoming so spiritual , don ’ t you think ?”
The McAllisters say they are delighted by the creativity but explained that cairn building does have a downside . Where rocks are removed to build cairns , the exposed soil is washed into the street when it rains .
