Finding ways to stay connected

Staying in touch is a challenge right now and we are grateful to our members for their participation . CWA is connecting its members with its weekly walking group . Members show up at 1 p . m . every Monday in the parking lot in front of the salon and Curry ’ s Restaurant ( rain or shine ). We all bring our masks and use them when the layout of the landscape pushes us closer than 6 feet apart . We usually walk leisurely for about an hour . It is a great way to meet neighbors and make new friends . Members are welcome to bring guests too .
Last month we introduced our current board of directors who are working hard to find ways for us to stay connected .
Co-Presidents Lee Harker and Lynda Huber Marshall

October ’ s CWA event was on the Konmari Method of organization , giving us ways to tackle in a positive way those closets , drawers , and shelves of “ stuff ” that we have in our homes . Kadra Pixton , a consultant in our region did a live presentation where she presented the philosophy behind the method and reviewed some of the challenges of organizing the variety of things that are bulging our shelves , closets and garages . She reviewed organizing clothing , books , papers , miscellaneous and sentimental items . She pointed out that keeping items that “ spark joy ” helps make your life easier , but that the process does take time and effort . The presentation will be available on the CWA website and there will be a list of links and resources .
We also got a sneak peak of November ’ s program ; insight into the Boys and Girls Aid Society , to be presented by Dr . Suzan Huntington . We hope you will join us for this very informative presentation .
