Sunshine Service

By JOAN VEDDER

Remember to return equipment on time

Hello Charbonneau ! Just wondering , did you miss me last month ? I totally forgot to write an article . I
VEDDER think I just drew a blank . Every
day , every week , every month , seem the same to me now , and I ’ m sure many of you agree .
Luckily “ Sunshine ” is always there , five days a week . We seem to have had several broken ankles this past spring and summer so hopefully that is over . As I ’ ve mentioned before , we ’ d appreciate it if you would please return the items you borrowed many months ago . For instance , we ’ re down to just a couple of shower benches in stock and that means that people who will have elective surgery in the near future will be out of luck if they need to borrow one .
Normal length of time to borrow equipment is approximately two months so please try to adhere to that . If it looks like you will need continual use of something , we do suggest that you purchase it for yourself .
We had a couple of very generous donations recently and they were most appreciated by our team .
One last point here : Feel free to go down the list of volunteer names in your CCC Handbook . Maybe your recognize someone in your own neighborhood or the name of a friend ? We are all trained to help you , so any name on that list is a winner .
I mentally celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving recently and the American one is coming shortly . I think I sense holiday season is upon us ! Take care of yourselves .
