Season-ending awards announced at modified Stagette
Our annual Stagette on Oct . 8 was an abbreviated affair , but we made the most of it , thanks to chairs Ginny Moir and Barbara Barber . Players picked up a sack lunch at The Turn , prepared by Jodi at The Turn , and finished by enjoying a socially distanced cup of cheer in the new covered Pavilion . The day ’ s game was “ Three Blind Mice .” Many thanks to Bill Moir who set everything up in Golf Genius and managed the pairings , scoring and announcement of the winners ( see list below ). In addition , Joann Linville announced the season ’ s Most Improved and Eclectic winners and thanked everyone for the privilege of serving as our president this year .
Congratulations to Susan Taylor , who was our Most Improved Player for 2020 . The folks at OGA reminded us that for a player with a low handicap to earn this recognition is a challenge , and worthy of the award . We had some close runners-up , who were also recognized , including Rose Mason , Sharon Kadell , Carla Robertson and Laurie Bales .
Kudos to Karen Miller , our eclectic chair , who rose to the challenge of CO- VID-19 restrictions by recording the numbers via Golf Genius and presenting the Eclectic Winners for 2020 :
