Board approved the new Charbonneau Points
Shootout Event (details to be announced later) which
replaces the Invitational Tournament Aug. 6 and 7.
Aug. 12 Nine Hole Division Guest Day is canceled.

The Nominating Committee is recruiting new talent
for board members and committees for next year,
led by Don Mason, Glen Ferguson, Steve Werts and
John Meyers (interested volunteers should contact
one of these people).
Membership
Bill Moir, membership chairman, reports there are
230 members of the club. There will be initiatives in the
next few months on how to improve the inclusion of
new members into play days and events, as well as how
to “mix” foursomes so that members can meet new people
(rather than the same foursomes every time).
In other news
Golf carts too near greens: The board asks our members
to avoid driving golf carts too close to the greens.
It is a bad example for public to see private doing this.
Sounding board: Mike Brown has volunteered to be
a listen post for complaints and complements about
the golf course or behaviors on the course.
The board approved a motion to update the tournament
policy on the website to be consistent with the
flyers posted for holiday couples’ events.
“Teams must be composed of two men and two
women. A team must contain no more than two guests
(i.e. non-member of the three clubs CWGA, Niners,
Men’s Club),” the policy reads. The full policy can be
found on the Men’s Club website in the ADMIN area.
Board meetings and milestones: Over the past several
months, the board and guests have been meeting
via ZOOM software online. Beginning in August, the
board will meet in the Charbonneau clubhouse at 7
p.m., with masks of course, Aug. 4, Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov.
3 and Dec.1.
The board will be working on several milestones
over the next several months:
August: Develop next year budget, treasurer
and all chairs
August: Publish notice of annual meeting date,
secretary
September: Reserve CCC rooms for Men’s Club
2021 events, social chair
September: Nominations for next years’ board
