Fantasy Football

A look at the world of fantasy football leagues... the saga continues

Managing a football team sure seems a lot harder than playing it on the XBox.

Despite everyone's suggestion, I managed not to drop anyone this week. The one player I was going to drop, I forgot to and then he did really well. I guess so much for what everybody else tells you. What killed me this week was a really good game for Andrew Luck. My opponent had him and he beat Drew Brees on my team by a good country mile. That extra 12 points was killer!

This week when I logged into the Fantasy tool, it had some guru recommendations which I decided I'd try this week:

Raptors moved Emmanuel Sanders from Wide Receiver / Running Back to Bench for week 4.

Raptors moved Greg Jennings from Bench to Wide Receiver / Running Back for week 4.

The gurus are predicting much better weeks this week for Jennings than Sanders.

I also found this week (after 3 weeks) that you can read a "news article" about how well your team did this week.

Here's mine for last week:

Saints Beats Raptors, Climbs to 8th Place

Updated: Tuesday September 23, 2014 7:02:14 AM CDT

Saints got past Raptors 85.00 to 75.82, led by Andrew Luck, who put up the highest point total by a player this season with 32.30 points. Saints took an 8.48-point lead on Sunday afternoon and held the lead throughout the matchup. Raptors is having trouble getting started and is winless. Saints started one player with zero points while Raptors also served up one goose egg, meaning each team left something on the table. Saints (1-2, 247.68 points) climbs into eighth place and Raptors (0-3, 213.12 points) stays in last place.

Raptors had one noteworthy starter that missed out on some chances. Despite being targeted eight times, Torrey Smith could only manage two catches.

Next week, Saints squares off against Patrianthers (2-1, 272.90), while Raptors faces Chef Joe (2-1, 201.78).

Well, hope to have better luck next week...! Write back and tell us how your team is faring.

Thanks!
