• Both Pilates and yoga can be

progressive. There are many

levels and “flavors” in both.

In either practice the

participant can be

challenged to get to

more advanced classes.

There are of course more

differences and similarities

to the two practices but

these are the more

significant ones.

That being stated, Pilates and

yoga are actually very complementary practices.

For the athlete who has the time to devote to developing their mind and body I would recommend trying both together on different days. Above all, someone should select a fitness routine that they enjoy, helps them meet their goals and works with their schedule.
