Most of our featured islands offer convenient sea crossings and also offer the option to take your own car giving you the freedom to pack as much as you like.
Channel Islands- Jersey & Guernsey Sailings to Jersey and Guernsey are available from the UK ports of Poole and Portsmouth. For Jersey, crossings are operated by DFDS, with either a fast ferry service on Levante Jet from Poole, or a traditional service from Portsmouth on board Stena Vinga. Brittany Ferries provide a high-speed ferry service between Poole and Guernsey on board the sleek Voyager catamaran, or there’ s Islander, a conventional vessel sailing between Portsmouth and Guernsey. On all vessels there is a choice of dining venues and bars; outdoor decks to stretch your legs and duty free shops for money-saving bargains. On DFDS’ vessels, keep little ones happy in the Pirate Island play area. On traditional ferries, there are overnight cabins as well as pet-friendly cabins on board.
Travelling by sea with your car The holiday prices shown on the hotel pages for the Channel Islands include travel by sea as a foot passenger on the fast ferry. If you wish to take your car on the ferry, supplements range from £ 110 to £ 219 depending on the time of year and day of the week. These guide prices are abased on a standard car up to 1.85m high and 5m long. Please call for further information and the latest prices.

Fast ferry between Poole & Jersey The crossing time from Poole to Jersey is 4½ hours. DFDS’ Levante Jet has comfortable reclining seats, which are included in the prices shown for all fast ferry sailings from Poole. To enhance your sailing consider an upgrade:-
Premium Lounge from £ 19( one way): Enhance your journey between Poole and Jersey by upgrading to the Premium Lounge, which includes a complimentary selection of unlimited snacks and drinks along with added comfort and breathtaking sea views.
Traditional ferry between Portsmouth & Jersey The Portsmouth to Jersey journey takes 8½ hours. Standard seating is not allocated; however, upgraded seating or cabins can be pre-booked at a supplement.
Premium Lounge from £ 19( one way): Enjoy all inclusive snacks and drinks, reclining seats and great views.
Cabins: Choose from standard inside or sea view and even petfriendly cabins. A choice of 1-5 berth cabins are available, all with en suite facilities.

Traditional ferry between Portsmouth & Guernsey The Portsmouth to Guernsey journey takes approximately 10 hours. Standard seating is not allocated; however, upgraded seating or cabins can be pre-booked at a supplement.
Reclining seats from £ 15.45( one way): Can be booked in advance or, subject to availability, you can upgrade on board.
Club Class from £ 28.95( one way): Treat yourself to Club Class, for steward service and comfortable seats.
