Battle of Flowers : For over 100 years , the Jersey Battle of Flowers delighted islanders and visitors as Jersey ’ s biggest summer spectacular ! Held over two days during mid-August , the carnival includes a daytime parade and moonlight parade with predominantly floral exhibits . Tickets are required for both parades and can be bought online at www . battleofflowers . com .
Liberation Day : The Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied by German forces in WW2 . The five year occupation came to an end on 9 May 1945 and Liberation Day is a public holiday and still celebrated annually .
Jersey International Air Display : The skies above Jersey have enjoyed an annual air display for over 60 years , attracting tens of thousands of locals and tourists . Set in St Aubin ’ s Bay , during September , there are many different locations to view one of Europe ’ s finest free air shows . The event also boasts two major static displays of aircraft , one at Jersey Airport and the other in Peoples ’ Park , St Helier .
Tennerfest : Now in its 27th year ! For six weeks from October , participating restaurants across Jersey and Guernsey entice diners with special menus starting at just £ 10 .

A poignant reminder of the German Occupation during World War II , this underground collection of galleries detail the occupation and eventual liberation . Travel to / from the tunnels is not included . Available March-November .
