including senior leadership, adopting an institution-wide approach, encouraging
positive behaviours, working with the students’ union and having effective
governance, data collection and staff training. The Taskforce also agreed
recommendations to facilitate the sharing of good practice across the university
sector.
Finally, the initial work covered by the Taskforce does not capture the full breadth of
issues that universities must seek to prevent and respond to effectively. This report
therefore represents the completion of the first stage of what will be an ongoing
programme of work for Universities UK.
