A Generous Gift to Our Campus from The Anschutz Foundation
In September, the Anschutz Medical Campus announced that The Anschutz Foundation generously committed up to $ 50 million for a challenge donation to the University of Colorado Anschutz, with Children’ s Colorado receiving $ 25 million directed to our vision to support the mental health of children in our region.
The challenge aims to generate an additional $ 150 million in funding from both public and private partners— and donors like you— to strengthen collaborative mental health efforts across the campus to improve mental health care from childhood to geriatrics.
“ Children’ s Colorado has been focused on improving pediatric mental health for more than a decade. Since declaring a State of Emergency for youth mental health in 2021, we have been sounding the alarm about the urgency of advancing care models and expanding access to expert care for kids in crisis,” said Jena Hausmann, president and CEO of Children’ s Colorado and the Cille B. and Ronald W. Williams Endowed Chair in Executive Leadership.“ Every child deserves a hopeful future, and together, this partnership helps us build it.”
The Anschutz Foundation’ s continued investment validates our position as a national leader and empowers us to further collaborate with our campus partners to advance a more connected, compassionate system at a time when our community’ s needs have never been greater.
UNLOCKING HOPE
Give today to support pediatric mental health and maximize your gift by tapping into matching and challenge funds that can dramatically amplify your impact.
All donations in support of pediatric mental health will help us unlock the challenge funds from The Anschutz Foundation, including gifts to provide psycho-social support for patients in any of our specialty areas, such as the Heart Institute, the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and Children’ s Center for Surgery. To discuss your gift, contact Erin Nasralla, Director, Strategic Philanthropy, at enasralla @ childrenscoloradofoundation. org.
