START HERE: WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?
Summer golf training camps provide students of all ability levels the opportunity to experience the Gary
Gilchrist system of training and learn how the Professionals train. The key to achieving any goal is to first come
up with a plan. Depending on your goals, GGGA has different programs and options throughout the summer:
ONE WEEK CAMP gives students an overview of how to “Train Like A Champion” in the 5 key areas of
technical, physical, mental, strategy and character. The main goal for the coaching team is to design and create
a personalized development plan for each junior golfer as well as an understanding of the structure and process
for their improvement. This plan includes before/after images with a description of the key areas to focus on
and personal practice plan. The plan is the foundation to achieving the swing goals and will consist of off the
ball drills, motion drills and fitness exercises to support and target your own personal swing improvements.
MULTIPLE WEEK CAMPS offer juniors the opportunity to go more in-depth with their personal
development plan and can gain a better understanding of how their plan will help them progress toward their
ultimate goals. This includes swing video analysis and golf instruction featuring: full swing techniques, range
drills, short game, putting, course management and golf specific fitness training. The mental training program
also provides students ways to “think like a champion” and the coaching team focuses more on executing their
personal practice plan with focus and quality.
2 WEEK TOURNAMENT CAMP provides each player the experience of going through a full learn,
prepare, perform cycle of training just like the pros do. The first week involves the technical aspect of training
and focusing on the one or two key swing goals and areas of game improvement. The second week is based
around more pre-competition training including feel, shot shaping and building confidence with the ultimate
goal of achieving peak performance in the tournament that concludes the second week of training.
