A LETTER FROM
GARY
Time seems to be flying by and I can’t believe that we have
only a few more weeks left in the year! 2016 has been such a
wonderful year for me and many of our GGGA students, pros,
and work colleagues.
I like to reflect back at this time of year and think about all the
successes my students have achieved. It is so rewarding to see a
student persevere and overcome obstacles that can weigh them down.
Remaining patient, having quality practice, and being dedicated to
doing your very best and believing in yourself seems to always result in a
winning mindset!
I have witnessed one of my pro students, Ariya Jutanugarn climb from 64th
in the world to the “2016 Rolex Player of the Year!” I cannot tell you what
a fun ride it has been to watch her win her first tournament this past Spring,
going on to win her first major at the Ricoh British Open and literally dominate
the LPGA tour all season with five total wins.
We have also had several junior players win tournaments this semester. For
some it was their first victory. There is no doubt in my mind that there are many
others to follow. I would like to congratulate Zubin Chandra, Phyo “Kenneth” Thu,
Isabella Cardenas, Thin Wai Khaing, and Bennett Cotten on their first place wins.
This is also the time of year where I count and appreciate the many blessings in
my life. The GGGA team is without a doubt the best group of people I have had
the pleasure to be associated with in my career. Each and everyone one of these
staff members care deeply about all of our students and it shows everyday with
the love and passion they bring to the office, range, tournaments, and life
outside of golf. I appreciate all of their efforts to make GGGA the best academy
in the world. The sincere care and attention provided to our students is evident
everyday in each department from top to bottom.
Wherever this holiday time may take you, I hope it is a joyful time spent with family and friends!
All the best,
