The Beacon Recreation Center in Southeast Arlington Recognized with TEXO Distinguished Building Award
The Beacon Recreation Center , which opened last year at Webb Community Park in southeast Arlington , will be recognized at the TEXO Distinguished Building Awards Recognition Dinner in August .
Sundt Construction , Inc . served as the City of Arlington ’ s construction manager at risk for The Beacon , located at 1100 Mansfield Webb Road . The two-story , 36,000-square-foot facility was awarded first place by TEXO , a commercial construction association representing North and East Texas , in General Contractor – Building 4 ($ 10- $ 30 million ) category of its annual Distinguished Building Awards . Winners were selected on criteria that included difficulty in construction , unusual construction techniques involved , final appearance , and quality of the finished product , timeliness of completion , and safety .
