Champ Makes Me a Hero

There was a girl in my class that I was crushing on( liking) named was Patricia Simpson. I did not know how to approach her, because she was always with her friend Andrea. One day I noticed Patricia passed my house in her route to go home each day. Therefore, the next day I will make my move to get her attention. My plan was farfetched, crazy, and may not work but I felt it would, and Champ could help. It just so happens, Patricia sat right across the aisle from me. The bell rang, I ran home as fast as I could to put my plan into effect.
I grabbed Champ and hid behind my bushes waiting on Patricia to pass by. Minutes later, she and two other girls passed my house. I waited until they were four or five houses down the street, before I let Champ loose.“ Get em boy,” is what I whispered to Champ.“ Look out he got lose,” I yelled. The girls took off running as fast as they could, and Champ was behind them.“ Come here” I yelled softly but, Champ knew I was not serious so he continued after the girls. One girl separated from Patricia and Andrea but, Champ kept after them. Patricia and Andrea both ran on separate porches but, Champ followed Patricia, what a smart dog. It was if he read my mind. Champ caught up with Patricia and stood up on his hind legs while pressing his paws on her, daring her to move.“ Don’ t move, don’ t move,” I shouted. Champ was so trained that he would wait on my command to complete his attack. All I had to do was stomp my feet, clap my hands, or say the command to get a person. I ran up on the porch and grabbed Champ by the collar.“ Bad dog,” I said as I smacked Champ on the head.“ Bad dog Champ, go home,” I stated. Champ looked up at me as I pointed for him to leave and go home. Champ left heading home, and I apologized to Patricia for my dog getting loose and chasing her. I picked up her books and walked her home. When we made it to her house, she was so grateful that I had saved her life that I became the three girl’ s hero. Andrea started liking me more than Patricia did but, I was still their unsung hero. Champ did exactly what I wanted him to do.
I have never shared this secret with anyone until now, please don’ t tell anyone 21
