Field to Feast
A Farm to Table Event
Underwritten by:
Imagine gathering in a pasture
next to an orchard enjoying a
delicious meal prepared with food
grown in our region, and paired
with the perfect glass of wine.
This is exactly what our Field to
Feast event will be on Saturday,
September 16, at The Orchard,
located on Highway 99 just north
of Emporia. This casual yet elegant
event will begin at 4:00 in the
afternoon with a reception and
hors d’oeuvres. Dinner will be
served at one long table setting in
a beautiful setting overlooking a
pond and the orchard, enjoying
a four course meal with a wine
pairing for each course. We only
have one hundred tickets so hurry
and order yours today. Tickets are
$100 each.
Why hold an event like this?
Field to Feast will be an event
that encompasses the agriculture,
business and educational
communities together. Food being
used in this four course meal will
come from producers in our region,
and will promote sustainability.
The meal will be prepared by the
Culinary Arts program at Flint Hills
Technical College and will assist
students in learning more about the
skills and responsibilities of catering
top-notch cuisine to a large group.
Area Chamber of Commerce. The
Chamber’s mission is to be Proactive
in Creating an Environment
for Business and Community
Success. We do not believe in doing
fundraisers for the only purpose of
raising money. We do fundraisers
that we believe will also help
maintain a sustainable business and
community environment.
Cash tips from the evening will be
given to the culinary arts program
to assist students in attending state
and national competitions. As we
all know funding has been cut, and
additional funds to assist these
students are needed. Finally, it will
act as a fundraiser for the Emporia
