Marshall.  Fred
joined the
Chamber’s
Christmas Parade Committee 29
years ago and has been passionate
about helping to kick off the
Christmas Season with this special
tradition.
Fred is ESB FINANCIAL’s Vice
President of ESB Insurance &
Financial Services.
Fred is married to Allison,
has two children, Fletcher and
Makenzie Harder, two step-
children, Taylor and Spencer
Anderson.
Besides being an active member
of the Emporia Chamber of
Commerce, he has held executive
positions on the Newman Regional
Health Board of Directors, the
Lyon County Historical Society,
the United Way, and Sacred Heart
Catholic Church…also a member of
the Emporia Country Club and was
honored as The Emporia Gazette’s
Man of the Week.

Business of the Year
The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau is
accepting nominations for its 2017 Business of the Year award. To nominate a
business you feel deserves this award, complete the form below. Nomination
forms are due in the Chamber office by November 3, 2017. Each nominee will
receive an application to complete and return to the Chamber.
Award Criteria
1. Nominee must currently be a Chamber member.
2. Nominee’s work force must not exceed 100 persons.
3. Nominee must have been in business for a minimum of three years.
4. Nominee must exhibit community involvement.
5. Nominee cannot be a non-profit organization or a nationally recognized
chain or franchise.
