Promote Your Business’s Career Opportunities
with Flint Hills Technical College
The summer of 2014
is winding down, which
means that the beginning
of the new school
year is just around the
corner. Our community
will be welcoming new
and returning college
students who will make
Emporia their home
away from home as
they pursue their career
and educational goals.
Many of these students
will also need to obtain
vital work experience,
on the job training,
internships and even
long term employment.
This situation creates the
perfect opportunity for
our local business and
industry employers to
take advantage of these
highly skilled, talented and
motivated students.
Flint Hills Technical
College is dedicated to
providing the best possible
service to our business
and industry partners, as
well as providing excellent
employment opportunities
for our students and
alumni. I am pleased to
announce that FHTC is
kicking off the 2014 school
year with a new Career
Services Center.
The fully staffed and
functioning Career
Services Center will be

provided through our
existing office of Student
Services. We will work
with students and alumni
from all of our majors
and programs, which will
allow the employers to
reach a broad range of
students with varied skills
and career interests. We
will use various forms
of traditional, electronic
and internet based
communication to target
the students and alumni
who will have the training
and skills to meet your
employment needs.
As we develop and
expand the Career
Services Center, we will
be providing participating
employers with the
following free tools:
• Advertise job openings
• Recruit applicants
• Promote internship
opportunities
• Connect with FHTC
students, alumni and
faculty
Partner with
FHTC programs
of study
We will also be hosting
a Career Fair in the
fall and spring, which
will provide employers
the opportunity to be
on campus and recruit
students. There is no
cost for an employer to
attend. This is a great way
to connect with FHTC’s
talented students, collect
resumes, and even conduct
interviews.
We are excited about
this opportunity and
working with our local
business and industry
employers to meet your
workforce needs. To

our career fair, or to obtain
