It’s all in the Details
When is that event? Where is it? What time does it start? What is the cost? Who
can attend?
Susan Rathke
CVB Director
Details matter. Let one detail slip through the cracks and you can lose the whole
deal. We paid attention to ALL the details and won the bid for the 2016 Kansas
Shrine Bowl. We deal with events every day that come with many, many details
concerning what is required to make the event happen, be successful, and make the
event a repeat performance. We owe many thanks to Emporia State University for
addressing all the details in the Request for Proposal to host the Kansas Shrine Bowl.
The Emporia CVB will assist the Shriners through the planning process for another
successful event in 2016.
The Kansas Shrine Bowl is just one of many events that happen in Emporia.
In our everyday jobs, we assist people with so many things. How can I entertain
visitors coming in for the weekend? How do I sign up for craft shows and festivals
around the area? Is there free meeting space in Emporia? When does the train run
at Soden’s Grove? We love to assist visitors with their needs. The more we pay
attention to their needs and details, the more likely they are to make a return visit.
With spring upon us, events will be popping out of the woodwork. April is
extremely busy and we hope to stay on top of all the good things happening in
and around Emporia. Make sure to let us know of your community events and all
the details that go with them. We like to be “in the know” about everything going
on. The more we know, the better we can serve you! Listen for Chamber and CVB
happenings on KVOE on Thursdays where we like to mention community events. Also
check out the E Town app on your phone for a look at events and more on the go.
