The Colorado Fetal Care Center delivers some of the safest , highest-quality and most innovative fetal care available . From perinatal medicine to neonatal to pediatric subspecialty care , we offer a full array of services for parents , babies and families , including nearly any fetal treatment available . We work with maternal fetal medicine specialists , midwives , obstetricians and family physicians from across the country and consider them an integral part of our team .
Housed within the Colorado Fetal Care Center , our fetal cardiology program offers comprehensive care for congenital defects and other abnormalities affecting the cardiovascular system , both in utero and after birth . Via 24 / 7 telemedicine and our Fetal Echo Preceptorship program , we work with regional centers to deliver cutting-edge care to families from many miles away , allowing patients to stay close to home throughout their pregnancy .
After birth , newborns get immediate access to the most advanced care for congenital heart defects from our Heart Institute , which is consistently ranked by U . S . News & World Report and is one of only eight stand-alone pediatric heart research centers in the country . The Heart Institute is located in the same building as the Colorado Fetal Care Center , making it incredibly easy and convenient for new parents and their babies to quickly access the care they need . Patients also benefit from our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit ( CICU ), which consistently maintains some of the best outcomes in the nation . Our CICU works closely with surgery and anesthesiology teams , among others , to nurse patients back to health and is the only of its kind in the region .
