SI02 - Curriculum Specialist The Curriculum Specialists at CESA 5 are available to assist your district with the following:            Serving as your Title 1 Reading Specialist Developing local processes for curriculum, instruction, and assessment Analyzing and interpreting state assessment results (WKCE, ACCESS for ELLs, PALS) Providing updates on the state assessment or alternative assessment Offering technical assistance for curriculum software, including Eclipse & Build Your Own Curriculum Understanding and implementing the Common Core State Standards Aligning curriculum to the State Standards Selecting high-quality curriculum resources Discussing “Best Practices” for specific disciplines, including Literacy and Mathematics Facilitating professional development on teaching methods/learning styles Training students in ACT Prep Our Curriculum Specialists can also provide customized professional development to help meet district goals and improvement plans. SI03 - PI-34 Consortium CESA 5 districts recognize the need for collaborative efforts that improve quality teaching for new teachers and their mentors. The PI-34 Consortium will support the development and implementation of key components and offer districts support services in order to enhance local capacity to meet district requirements. PI-34 Consortium Membership Includes:  Support Seminars for Initial Educators, Administrators, Pupil Services  Mentor training for teachers & administrators  Membership rates for CESA 5 PI-34 Trainings  Related professional development and trainings available for purchase as needed  Review of Professional Development Plans for Initial Educators  Support and training for PDP goal writing  Collaborative planning meetings for future consortium services 9
