Ceres Magazine Issue 3 - Spring 2016 | Page 75

Thanks

It’s been a strange and eventful journey since the last issue of the magazine. Things get done and things come undone! That’s the nature of life. People come and people go! Stories get written and others never see daylight. Then, we realize that maybe some things are meant to be, even if we don't want them to. Sometimes, the best is to believe that everything happens for a reason.

That said, along the road, I picked up some new friends. And, without further ado, let’s thank our newest contributor, Heather Barlow, reaching out from across the ocean, England. Let’s wish her a long and joyful journey with Ceres Magazine as our Business Columnist. She will give us her input on home-based businesses, as a starter, and guide us through its process. I also want to thank my college-years, and long time friend, Caroline Vatan, from the beautiful town of Auxerre in France, who took time off her busy schedule to write an article on a key-woman of the Romantic Era in Europe, writer/author Madame de Staël. Caroline is one of the experts on the subject, and it’s an honor to have her as a guest contributor to this issue. Also, thank you to Rosalind Moore for her patience and kindness. We took about a million photos, and that demands patience!

As usual, I want to thank Suzanne Dobrijevich, who is an amazing person on top of being an asset to Ceres Magazine. She is not only fantastic at what she does, she is also a dedicated person, reliable and trustworthy… and she is very sweet, too. I’m glad to count her on our team.

I can’t forget Scott Holmes, who I miss seeing on the train every working day, but who is still on as our Senior Editor (I guess one gets addicted to these things!) I can’t thank him enough for all his encouragement, and for believing in Ceres Magazine as much as I do.

A couple of people are taking a little break, but will be back in the next issue. So, I’ll just say hi to them.

Finally, a quick shout-out to Barbara Lashenick and Leslie from the Metro Art Docent Council, two great ladies I met a few months ago, in conjunction with the previous issue’s article on the 25 Years of Metro Rail. It was so great meeting you, and thank you for the private tour. It was fun and instructive!

Again, thanks to all of you for your support and kindness. With love.
